[GNC] gnucash initial display

What OS are you using? GnuCash 5.12 on Linux Mint 22.1 on reopening
displays all the accounts which had been open before shutting GnuCash
down as you described. I wthink this is  stored in one of the
configuration files <filename>.gcm in your home directory
(https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Configuration_Locations ), possibly a
permission change on the <filename>.gcm file which AFAIK lists the open
registers and the window parameters.
