[GNC] Transaction Linked Document - acceptable Linked Location values

Indeed you can for specifying a 'Linked File'. To keep those links "portable", I simply set it to just plain root of the drive. But I don’t think this permits specifying a folder.

So this question was pertaining to the other one -- using 'Linked Location' -- rather than 'Linked File' where (I hope!) that setting is a NOP. I wasn't sure if 'Linked Location' would accept any other scheme other than 'http(s)://' but looks like it permits 'file:///' scheme as well, thus makes it fair to link anything rather than limited to just a single file.

You can also set the default path under:

Preferences > General > Linked Files
