It's important to understand that filter reports are strictly restricted to:

   - Transaction Report (including shortcuts launched directly from a
   register, like the Account Transaction Report or a right-click
   Single-Transaction Report)
   - General Ledger
   - Advanced Portfolio Report

It really is a false offering for financial software. GnuCash lets you
filter transactions, giving the illusion of full project-tracking. Yet the
illusion breaks down immediately at the final hurdle: the major limitation
is that normal financial statements (e.g., Income Statement/P&L, Balance
Sheet, and Cash Flow) operate purely at the aggregate account structure
level. They cannot filter by text at either the transaction or split level.
