[GNC] New question: designating classes for expenses.

UH .. it is a PITA but IF the CoA hierarchy has the accounts subdivided 
sufficiently and IF you do the Income Statement (by any of its names), 
Balance Sheet, etc. including ONLY the accounts of interest you can 
produce reports for "project tracking", etc. And it is NOT just for 
things like project tracking. For example, as Treasurer for non-profits, 
filling out the 990/990EZ "printing and postage" is a line item. So each 
"project" needs to separate out that part of its costs in that category 
(and I could easily run a report including JUST those expense accounts.

Silly level of detail for the Bods but I never gave them raw reports 
straight out of gnucash. I needed all that pesky detail to fill forms, 
decide if 990's needed, for whom and how much, etc. THEY just wanted the 
totals. So run report, export, and edit away unwanted detail.
