By the time you read this, gnucash.org should be back up. It was down
all afternoon today (31 Oct) with disk problems.

There is a basic rule of building RAID arrays: don't use disks from the
same manufacturer (or at least, not the same model number) when
building RAID arrays. Unfortunately, that rule was violated when
www.gnucash.org got built :-( When I replaced one disk, the other
started failing with identical sympoms (and curiously, at similar block
numbers, i.e. at the same physical location on the disk, which
presumably indicates some kind of problem in the manufacturing
process, or something. Bad crosstalk in the drive electronics for
particular disk addresses ??? firmware bug???). Although I've had good
luck with other IBM drives, the ones that are failing are IBM Deskstar
DPTA-372050 20.5 gig drives (I'm having good luck with some 40 gig
drives).
