gnucash gnome2/Gtk2 Windows

The biggest hurdle (IMHO) to a Windows port of GnuCash is the
developer willing to stand up and do it.  None of the current
developers have the inclination or interest.  A few people have
come by over time and tried it a little, but nothing has ever
resulted from it.

Personally, I've always said that I'm happy to apply patches to
get the windows port working, provided they are portable patches
(read: don't break the existing code for non-Windows platforms).
That sentiment still holds.

I believe that the G2 port will definitely make it easier to port to
Windows..  However the current method of modularization through guile
shared objects might cause a lot of heartache.  I'm definitely willing
to entertain the prospect of "fixing" the modularization mechanisms
within gnucash.  :)
