Problem running svn r 15552

I having a problem running 15552, actually several prior revision also.

I have even deleted the svn directories an performed a fresh "checkout",
to no change.

I am able to build with no detected problem, however when running I get
the splash screen, the small main window, and the TOTD screen - then CU
usage drops and no farther activity occurs.  The focus will shift
between windows but the buttons are inactive.  Clicking on the upper
right "x" gives an "program not responding" window which permits force
quit.

I start with:

[dvherman at IBMobil GnuCash-svn]$ LANG=en_US /opt/gnucash-svn/bin/gnucash
--nofile --loglevel=6


This is a development version. It may or may not work.

Build commands were:
 ./configure --enable-error-on-warning --enable-compile-warnings
--enable-debug --enable-ofx --enable-hbci --prefix=/opt/gnucash-svn
 make
 sudo make install


I am on an Fedora 6 (current updates), problem started with yesterday's
builds, I did not build on Thursday.

Note Finance::Quote was not detected, initialization never got that far.

Any suggestions on additional data to isolate problem ?
