How to access the customer database

[Statewide Software]

Where is the encrypted xml file located?  Is there anything special I have to
do to deal with the encryption when I read/write to the file?  Is there an
ETA on the database support for 2.4?

Hello, I know you can export an XML file of each customer, but I would like
to be able to talk to the actual database within GnuCash.  Does anyone know
where this information is located and how I would go about syncing them up
via a web application?
