Mark already explained this correctly; ARM = Adjustable-Rate Mortgage.  
It's a U.S. specific sort of mortgage (debt) contract where the  
interest rate may changes over time in unpredictable ways.  
<off-topic>If you ask me (and many others here), allowing the banks to  
sell this sort of debt contract is a clear road into financial  
disaster for the customer, but we are only translators here, not  
politicians.</off-topic>

The "business-reports/invoice.scm" report contains quite a number of  
those ambiguous strings which should be cleanup up, but currently we  
have to live with them. In this case I think it's the column heading  
for "Tax rate of this invoice line" and because it's a column heading  
the responsible author thought "T" would be helpful as an  
abbreviation. You should handle the string as if it said "Tax Rate".

 From looking at the invoice.scm source code: The %s will be replaced  
by the invoice report title, e.g. "Invoive", and the %d will be  
replaced by the invoice id number. The single "#" hash character is  
the English abbreviation for "number". In German, my translation of  
the string is "%s Nr. %d" where "Nr." is the German abbreviation for  
"number".

It's used as a noun here - the string should have been written with a  
capital letter instead. It's one of the two drop-down choices in the  
option "Negative amount format" in the "Balance Sheet (eguile)"  
report. The string could have been written as "Prefix with Sign"  
instead. The tooltip for this drop-down choice is "Prefix negative  
amounts with a minus sign, e.g. -$10".

rather than currency per commodity", hence instead of the price p the

Yes, a typo. Yes, it means "conditions" - the plural; the singular  
would be "criterion", but there are several, so it's several  
"criteria". (How would "criteria" be the same as "standard"? Just  
curious how you would think of this semantic ambiguity.)

Actually, both: The user-visible effect is to move the transaction up  
or down. The technical implementation to achieve this is by modifying  
the transaction date by a few seconds. This is probably not a very  
good solution. The string should probably be changed into "Move  
transaction down[wards]".

because no user will understand the meaning of "references" or  
"obejects" here. The string should be changed into something like  
"Used Objects" and it is the column heading for a list of, errr,  
gnucash objects like account or transaction which need the account  
that should currently be deleted... err, unfortunately I also don't  
have a good idea for a better wording here.
