Rest accounts to zero.

You can export your chart of accounts into a new file. That is equivalent of 
removing all the transactions. The menu option is under
File -> Export -> Export Accounts

P.S. Can you please use gnucash-devel at gnucash.org as list address instead of 
gnucash-devel at lists.gnucash.org ? The latter can result in duplicate 
addressess in some e-mail clients. Thank you.
