How do I do a split on a transaction

I can't figure out how to do a split.

Say I write 1 ceck that should be charged to 2 different accounts, how do I do
this?

I looked at the example, but it seems to be for an older version of the software,
and I can't seem to figure this out.

BTW the documentation, in general was very helpful, perhaps this item needs to be
added?
