gnucash on RH7.1

I didn't see an archive of this mailing list so I will ask a question tha=

probably asked repeatedly here.

How on earth do I install gnucash on Red Hat 7.1.  I was running 6.2 and =
had=20
to download a handful of rpms to get 1.4.1 to work.  I have tried to inst=
all=20
1.4.1 but it has a problem with libguile.so.4 which I symlinked back to t=
he=20
libguile.so.9 that is in /usr/lib.  Still nothing.  I tried 1.6.1 and 1.6=
=2E2=20
but both of those have such an enourmous cascade of unsatisfied dependenc=
ies=20
that I have now been downloading rpms in all of my spare time for the pas=
t=20
two days trying to find a combination of libraries that work.  Most of th=
e=20
problems seem to stem back to libguile and libreadline needed to be older=
=20
versions.

Does anyone have some good documentation or hints to get any version of=20
gnucash working on Red Hat 7.1?
