Excuse me to drop in here, but as a matter of fact the FRF, DEM etc. are 
not a currency since 1999-01-01. They are a denomination of the Euro. 
The FRF, DEM and all the others have stopped to exist as a currency at 
1998-12-31.

However, the practical effect of being a currency with fixed exchange 
rates or being a denomination is actually the same.
