Exporting transaction data from QuickBooks to GnuCash

Right now, my biggest goal is to somehow get my QuickBooks data into 
GnuCash... however, QuickBooks does NOT appear to allow export of the 
actual transaction data (only COA and "structural" stuff).

1)  Has anyone been able to take all their QuickBooks data and migrated 
them to GnuCash?

2)  The QuickBooks "database" is a proprietary spreadsheet format; 
however, there is a company called DataBlox that has applications and 
tools that can read the QB database.  Has anyone tried using their stuff?
