Unfortunately GnuCash needs to be built specifically against
your Distro, so a Red Hat RPM will not work on Mandrake
or SuSE.

Yea, which is good.. GnuCash is still a gnome-1.4 application.

I would suggest that you completely un-install all existing
gnucash and g-wrap RPMs. It will reduce your headaches
as you upgrade.

Wait, guile 1.6 should have no dependency on guppi...
Now, guppi might have a dependency on guile....

I don't know Mandrake's package naming system, so I'm not
sure I can help you. You might find libgal in either gnome-libs
or "gal" or "libgal" or something like that. Similarly,
libguppi is also in a similarly named package. The real
question is version skew. It is possible that you are
attempting to install packages of different versions,
which contain different sets of libraries.

Well, gal is a gnome library. guppi is, well, guppi. ;)

Unfortunately I don't know what to tell you specifically
about Mandrake 8.0.
