Disappearing transactions

I saw this a while ago with a few transactions. The transactions were not
really gone but were corrupted. If you can remember something about the
description field you may be able to find the transaction by searching the
gnucash xml data file. Also if there are corrupt transaction and you launch
gnucash from a command line, you should see some messages on the terminal
where you launched it.
