Thanks David. it sounds rather like what Derek has done, but I haven't got
his skill. Your idea should work. Now I know where to look.
Rulers in inches are almost unobtainable here, and the old school ruler with
tenths of an inch (the unit standard spacing for electronic PCBs) are highly
prized, but I can convert fractions of a millimetre (1 mm=.04 inch) The odd
1/72 inch shouldn't make much difference.
