Unable to get quotes

What do you get from:

  ls -l /gnucash_data/gnucashfile

I bet you get File Not Found.   Are you sure that "/gnucash_data/gnucashfile"
is the name of your data file?  Perhaps you want ~/gnucash_data/gnucashfile?
