Import a Gnucash 1.8.x data file

Hi,

I am a Gnucash user since 2000 and i am very happy about it.
I have now  a MacBook Pro with Mac OS X (Intel CPU) and i try to move  
to Gnucash 2.x.

But when i try to open my Gnucash 1.8.12 data file, i have a first  
dialog who ask me to choose the enconding caracter because i have  
accent on some words (I am french!) then i have just a dialog about  
an error, thats all!

What to do to be able to use my old file on Gnucash 2.x ?
