Installing help on MacOSX - can't resolve dependency?

When I installed it on OS X under Tiger, I had better luck with  
macports than I did with fink. I haven't built it under Leopard with  
either macports or fink since my Tiger compiled version still runs  
under Leopard.

You might try macports if you can't make any progress with fink.
