The FancyDateFormat crasher is a known bug:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=582325
So far it has been reported on Mandriva and Arch linux. You are the first one
to report it on Fedora. It seems like this bug is not reproducible on all
distros, which may suggest a problem in one of gnucash' dependencies.
It would help the gnucash devs if you add a comment to the bugreport with some
details on your configuration.
Do you run version 2.2.5 on the same system ? Or on an older linux distro ?
