Equity statement

Hello all,

I have trouble understanding the "Equity Statement" report. The
following things don't seem to add up:

* The capital is different for two periods ending on the same date
(for example 01.01.2009 - 28.02.2009 / 01.02.2009 - 28.02.2009)
* The "Investments for period" show an extremely high amount (250.000
€) although I have made no such investment
* In some cases the capital for a report ending today differs from the
"Assets" shown in the status bar (bottom) of the Accounts window

Could someone help me make some sense out of this?
