This is a known problem on Windows (in the future, when reporting
problems, it will help you to get a quick response if you include the
version of Gnucash you are using and the operating system you are
running on your computer; in this case, I was able to guess that you
are running Windows, because this problem has come up in this
discussion group many times and it's Windows-specific; it is not a
problem for those of us running Gnucash on Linux systems). See

As for support, ever talked with a QB developer? I didn't think so :-)
The Gnucash developers (I am not one of them) monitor this group
frequently and provide excellent help, advice, explanations, support.
This also gives them a feel for what the user community feels it
needs, which helps guide their thinking as they further develop this
excellent software. It's the way it ought to work and rarely does with
commercial software, particularly when the big names are involved.
