Quickfill Issues

That is a good question. I was just going to pop up again and say that you
may find that the download has changed your last memorised "Taco" to "TACO".
Then the trick that works for me is Fred's one of adding a space at the end.
Quicken has a list of memorised transactions that you can edit. In addition
it has an auto-complete function for transactions that are not memorised (I
think - most of them finish up being added to the list, and you can have two or
more almost identical transactions memorised.) I can't recall if editing the
memorised transaction will edit all the transactions that use it - I doubt it.
The only programs I have seen with that capability are genealogy programs, for
sources or place names. There is no such list in GnuCash. It may be possible
to use Find & Replace on the data file in a text editor - it is an XML file,
compressed with gzip - but I would be very nervous about doing that.
Let's see if Derek and the others have any ideas.
Doug.
