Separate reports for multiple projects

In the meantime I've found out that what I'm looking for is called "cost
center". But relating to GnuCash, all I've found is this:

I'll try it, but I'd prefer a solution other than using the comments
field and an external script. How do you keep an overview of your
different projects or divisions of your company? Do you have separate
accounts for every project? Am I missing something?
