Hi,

I am not sure if it is safe to install GnuCash 2.2.9 and 2.3.x at the same 
time. Even though they are installed in different paths, there is only one set 
of registry keys that will be used by both versions. I wonder whether due to 
this your 2.2.9 tries to use data from 2.3.9.

You can try to uninstall both versions and then reinstall 2.2.9 and see if 
that works again.
