Year's end, file size an issue?

If I'm looking at the right file (the "OurFinances" gzip file under GnuCash directory), it's only about 520KB.  I'm *not* really having an issue with size or slowness in any real way, I just sorta see the potential for disaster the larger this thing bloats up (I attribute some Quicken issues I had ages ago to having had such a huge amount of data -- perhaps completely unfounded)...
