Yes, that's a known bug that has been fixed in trunk and in the Mac distribution.

To fix it for yourself, open share/gnucash/glade/commodity.glade in an editor (notepad should work). Find the string "namespace_cbe1" and change it to "namespace_cbe". Save the file and all should be well.
