Opening File

Yes, make sure you shut down GnuCash before you shut down the computer.
Note that I noticed that on a Mac you cannot use the red-x circle, you
actually have to go into the Menu and File -> Shutdown (or maybe GnuCash
-> Shutdown).  If you do not do this then your settings are lost.

So....  Just do that.
