Report- show account total

I want to determine how much interest I received from various banks 
throughout the year.
When I create a report (I use the TRANSACTION REPORT and then select the 
necessary accounts and date) the report I get shows each date and the 
interest deposit amount.

What I want to see is this;  INTEREST:BANK X   $100

I want to see the total interest received for the entire year and not a 
bunch of dates when the interest was received.

Any ideas how to do this?
