Think GC is corrupted

Saved the blank file when GC launched (with error) ... then tried to open
old register -> GC brought up the 'accounts' tab but my original register
was empty -- so something must have happened to GC.

Fortunately, I've been using Quicken so can import if I decide to reinstall
... but am not thrilled with GC because:
1. it seems fragile ... no malware on PC so don't know why GC became
corrupted
2. the reporting feature doesn't seem to support a yearly income/expense
where the transactions can be seen by month ... at least not without jumping
through hoops. (It's straight forward in Quicken.)
3. reinstalling seems to be a pain ... did it before and it wasn't pretty.
Files are dispersed throughout my HDD - which ones to remove is not
documented.

Is there an uninstall program? When uninstalled previously I used Win 7
uninstall but when GC was reinstalled there were files left over from the
previous testing ... so went back and deleted all files manually then
reinstalled.
