I found the launchd plist for the Fink dbus-session in /sw/share/dbus/launchd/ and used launchctl to unload it. However, when I start GnuCash, I get the same issue, even without the Fink dbus-session running.

So I still can't get the gconf.path thing happy.

It seems to run fine and for now I just skip the update process. I'm just obsessing on what is wrong in the default values setup. Nothing I can do by hand to update it?
