Online banking problem

I am trying to establish online banking with ofx.rbcdain.com. I already
have succeeded with three credit cards, but now I am having a problem.

I have succeeded in setting up a user and two accounts and I am
connecting to and logging in to that server. However, when I try to
associate my existing GnuCash accounts to the online accounts, it
appears that I am succeeding, and I click apply closing the setup. Then
I try to go to online actions for either of those accounts and find them
all grayed out except for Show Log window. I go back through the setup
and find that the associations did not stick.

I am using GnuCash 2.4.6 in Windows XP SP3

My previous associations which are working were made in an earlier
version of GnuCash. Has something broken in this release? Are there
some types of associations not allowed but not flagged as such?

In the setup, they were given the type Money Market where I expected
them to be given the type Investment. I am trying to associate them to
GnuCash accounts of type Bank which are subaccounts of investments.

I wanted to get close enough to my problem by discussing it via IRC
since bugs 638466 amd 640540 may be related, but they are not the same.
However, I am banned, so I am ranting here. Sorry about the rant.

Can someone help me?

Thank you,

David
