I like your ideas.  I'll let you know of my results....which I'm hoping
will satisfy my curiosity.  It's very disconcerting how the banks won't
provide much information.  One bank was helpful but have become oddly
"silent" in providing anymore info.

Just a reiteration-  to log into any of my bank accounts requires the
following;

1.  User ID
2.  Correct answer to challenge questions (usually there are 2)
3.   Password

Well, I'll see what happens...
