Personal Accounting - Bills Due

I was thinking, anyone else use Vendor Bills to track personal bills?  For
example, you get a new electric bill or cable bill and you enter them as
Vendors and their bills?  Wouldn't this give a person using the system a
better picture of their net worth and net gain / loss?   I was thinking of
starting to do it this way and was wonder what others were doing.
