Incomes Statement Blank

The total amount for the period selected for each account is exactly what I
wanted. I had to delete out the transactions from the transaction report and
just keep the subtotals to get what I want. It seems like this is exactly
what the income statement is for.   I selected all accounts and different
accounting periods and it just won't show anything.
