Your best bet is to periodically write your data file to a write-only
medium like CDRom and store that in a Bank Vault.  Then you can go back
and check your history in a secure way.

Beyond that, no, GnuCash does not and will not do that because, frankly,
it's not possible.  Adding the infrastucture to make it HARD (not
impossible, just hard) would require way too much overhead that honestly
very few users of GnuCash need.
