Remember settings for CSV importer

Hi all,

At the moment I'm using CSV importer to track my savings bank account on GNU
cash, after which I generate monthly expense reports. I reconcile expense
records with downloaded csv statements a few times a month.

It seems that each time, I'm doing the same actions:
1. Download csv file
2. Clean it up - remove header and footer, convert all values to + (since
deposits and withdrawls are in separate columns anyways) - I do this with a
small AWK script.
3. Import into GnuCash - Select date format, select date column, select
description column, select deposit column, select withdrawl column

Step 3 is realy annoying and it would be awesome if the software can
remember my column assignments. And anyways, is there a way to make sure
that it's always the m-d-y that shows up when I select date column as
default. I always have to click to change the date format!

I want to reduce clicks! Help!
