Hi Johannes

I am using Windows 7 on an Acer computer. I have version 2.4.13 of Gnucash.
Gnucash automatically opens when I click the desktop icon.

Hope this will assist you in advising me.

Many thanks

Chris

Hi Chris,

question is what OperatingSystem (OS) you use. Is it windows XP, Win 7, win
8 is it a Mac is it a kind of Linux?

Version of GnuCash you can see at start time or when you go to help -> info

How do you open you GnuCash file? Click on one file or is it automatically
opened when you start the GnuCash program itself?

first time was a few weeks ago. I reentered all the data and carried on
entering new data as time progressed. Today, on opening Gnucash, I again
discovered all my data entered since the beginning of September missing. I
started using Gnucash this year, which means I should have the latest
version. I do not know what you mean by OS or XML or SQL an all the rest of
the technical jargon you are using. However, many thanks for responding.

all the data you've entered since August has gone missing, or just a
selection of days at the end of Aug?
