Michelle, it's worse than that. Even if the developers were experienced 
with all the various versions of Windows they perhaps couldn't figure 
out what was wrong, particularly since it now works. Keep in mind that 
probably NOT a "bug" in the normal sense as lots of us out here (myself 
included) are running gnucash under Windows and have never experienced 
what you reported.

In order to "debug" a problem have to be able to reproduce it.
