Suggestion for making account selection in splits

I appreciate your suggestions, the overall problem is having to switch from
mouse to number pad, to keyboard to mouse.

I am settled with having a 2nd window with only the accounts name and code
visible so its a very narrow side column.  I can look at the transaction in
the main window and dig around with the mouse to find the code, then double
click on the transaction.  Then I only have numbers and dashes to enter, so
I can keep one hand on the mouse and the other on the number pad to enter
the codes.

I have all my accounts auto coded though the renumber function to avoid
having to reposition to the alpha keys.

I think thats about the least repositioning and fewest key entries i can
manage.
