Column sizing - help

I have lost all but my Balance Columns on all of my accounts. I attempted
to move the column dividing lines to the left to accommodate larger numbers
and each time I released the mouse button the columns sprang back further
to the right. I have now lost the transfer column and the deposit and the
withdrawal columns. I have searched the Tutorial and Concepts Guide and the
Help Manual and cannot find any Key combination to lock column dividing
lines in place. I am using GnuCash-2.4.11 on Linux Ubuntu 12-10. Can
someone tell me how to correct this problem?
