Sharon,

Please be more specific.  Was it the stable version of GnuCash Release
2.4.13 that you downloaded?  When you installed it did the installer
report that the installation completed successfully? Do all of your
other programs work?  Have you tried starting GnuCash through the start
menu?  Did you wait for a minute or two to see if GnuCash was just a
little slow starting?  Do you have more than one monitor such that it
might be on the other one?  Have you tried starting the Windows Task
Manager to see if it appears in the Applications list?
