GNUCash 2.4.13 crash on startup

Hi Dave,

Supposing your guess is right, (i.e. It is caused by windows and its 
recent update) I would probe into it further. [And yes based on your 
description I think that is a logical and intelligent guess.]

Do you have another computer/laptop available? I would try to install 
Gnucash on that system to see if it runs.
I am running windows 8 64-bit Gnucash 2.4.11 and have applied the latest 
updates, it seems to be running fine.

There is a likelihood your machine's Win7 is screwed up...do you know 
when was the last time you did a full re-format of your system to clean 
it up?
