Migrating Gnucash to iMac

That got me several steps closer. The .gnucash file now knows it should open with Gnucash. The app itself cannot find it. I have attempted opening it from both directions (opening the program and trying to find the data, and also clicking on the data, which knows it should open with Gnucash. When I do the latter, Gnucash launches, but only shows "unsaved book." What am I missing?
