Version 2.6.3 won't save when there are open Reports

I tried starting gnucash from the terminal and the following are the 
messages displayed:

if I just open and close:

When I tried this on the 2.6.1 on the laptop the only message seen in 
either case is:

Additionally, I removed all guiles except for 2.0.
