Can't open my gnucash after downloading gnucash on to a new computer

Hi ,

I've been using Gnucash for 4 years but have a new computer and and after
downloading Gnucash on to the new computer cannot open my Gnucash accounting
as Gnucash does not come up on the 'list' of programs  available to use for
opening that Microsoft offers.

I've never had this issue previously as Gnucash always came up on the list
before.

Please help as I will lose 4 years of work.
