Hi Carlos,

No need to apologize. John's reply was not intended as a reprimand, but rather concern that 
more than one person seem to run into the same problem. If there's only one person reporting 
an issue this often means a misconfiguration on that person's computer. If more than one 
person report the same problem the issue gets more likely to be on the gnucash side.

And just to clarify, irc (inter-relay chat) is a system for live chat conversations and hence not a 
message board. The conversation with 'busyteach' can be found in the irc logs. It starts here:

(Note that in irc several conversations typically run in parallel so it may be hard to read if 
you're not used to it).

Anyway, regarding to your problem let's start from the beginning:
