That's correct. I've done some unpost/repost.

I've read the [1]
http://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Correcting_Business_Transaction_Mistakes
and upgraded to 2.6.9

Doing the Open Business -> Customer -> Process Payment 
removed the problems in the   "Receivables ageing" report.
