Budgets - how does the community want to use them?

I would also really like to see this type of budgeting functionality. I
really love the flexitibilty of GC, but am really tempted to switch over
to something like YNAB.  I am going to attempt to hack through this in a
manner that involves creating accounts for budget categories and double
entering transactions. More work, but I really like the zero sum
budgeting approach. I learned about how this can be done with GC here:

If this was built in, and thus eliminating the need to do double entry
that would be really great.
